The Finance BP CSD & Inventory Coordinator is responsible for both the Controlling and Inventory Coordinator roles at the American Almond facility in Pennsauken, NJ.  The controlling function will provide managers with financial information to enable them to make operational decisions.  This role will also report on evolution versus targets for operation efficiencies, headcount, scrap, rework, material yield, indirect costs, overtime, etc.  The inventory coordinator role will maintain inventory accuracy as well as coordinate all inventory activities with warehousing, production, and quality departments.

 

 

Key responsibilities include: 

 

  • Finance business partner to Plant Manager
  • Monitor plant performance and perform plant reporting
  • Contribute to Sales & Operations process
  • Support identification and execution of productivity initiatives
  • Maintain inventory accuracy of raw materials, finished products, and rework
  • Monthly analysis and follow-up of the budget variances on materials and operating costs
  • Organize counts for all material types on hand
  • Balance production area
  • Partner with others on cost savings initiatives
  • Analyze material variances (scrap, rework, yield)
  • Profitability analysis, investment analysis, manufacturing cost analysis
  • Structure and orientation of the budget process with budget holders
  • Short and midterm forecasts
  • Efficiency analysis (labor and machines)
  • Internal controls
  • Investment Proposal

 

 

About you:

 

  • Bachelor degree in Business Administration and/or Finance or Accounting
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment (food manufacturing preferred)
  • Strong management accounting background
  • Experience in Inventory Management
  • SAP Knowledge
  • Experience in budgeting, investment analysis, variance analysis, strategic projects analysis
  • Strong presentation & communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong personality and leadership, excellent work ethic, great team spirit
  • Strong technical abilities (Excel, Access, Power Point, Lotus Notes)
