POSITION TITLE: Rework Material Handler

 

REPORTING TO: Production Supervisor

 

LOCATION: Pennsauken, NJ

 

Job Summary:

Maintain company standards within a production facility by appropriately operating equipment to full capacity and within required specifications.  Responsible for reaching set goals while minimizing waste.

 

Essential Functions:

 

  • Operate the melting equipment

  • Responsible for the care, operation and safety of the equipment in the melting area

  • Responsible for cleaning the melting tanks as needed

  • Must record amount of material melted in the Shift Melting Log

  • Responsible for sanitation of work area

  • Clean basket filter and maintain log sheet of findings

  • Other responsibilities may be assigned as required by Management

  • Must comply with all OSHA standards

  • Must follow all Good Manufacturing Practices, HACCP requirements, and food safety standards for the area and function involved

  • Must be able to work as part of a team to assure a quality product

  • Must be able to communicate appropriately with Supervisors and Co-Workers (Verbal and simple written reports are required)

  • Must be able to apply supervisor’s directions

  • Must demonstrate knowledge of the equipment and its operation within 30 days of actively training on the job

  • Must be able to freely move around the entire factory

  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs unassisted

  • Committed to providing a safe food product

  • Works within all regulatory requirements

  • Committed to employee and facility safety

  • Performs all other related duties as requested

  • Responsible for the Quality and Food Safety of our products

  • Ability to adhere to GMP & HACCP practices and all other food safety requirements

 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Must be able to communicate appropriately with Supervisors and Co-Workers (Verbal and simple written reports are required)

  • Must be able to apply supervisor’s directions

  • Must be a results oriented individual, who thrives on situations involving pressure

  • Must be able to freely move around the entire facility. 

  • Exposure to noise, heat, cold and dust.
