About the Graduate Program:

Our two-year international graduate program offers a global perspective to bright, young talents like yourself and is an exciting opportunity to deepen your expertise in an area in which you are passionate. The program starts every September and launches at Barry Callebaut's most strategic locations worldwide, where we value our Graduate Program Members' expertise and foster entrepreneurship.

About the Opportunity:

Barry Callebaut offers you the opportunity to further develop your career within our Product Research & Development team.  Over the two-year term, you will gain experience and grow within the R&D succession plan. You will be positioned to fill a strategic leadership position following our region growth and Chocolate Business in North America.

Over the three rotations, you will gain experience and actively contribute by:

  • Understand the Barry Callebaut company culture and business
  • Acquire and utilize expert knowledge if key cocoa and chocolate technology aspects of recipes, raw materials, and processing
  • Manage complex product development projects. Lead project teams, partner with internal and external customers, use BC NPI process, and promoting regional and global collaboration
  • Participate in Project Agility, SKU simplification, and PLM projects
  • Support the Global R&D team in Belgium on special projects


About You       

  • Master's degree in Food Science or Chemistry
  • Professional working proficiency in Spanish
  • At least one year of work experience in a related function and industry
  • Demonstrated communication skills and abilities at multiple levels of an organization
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and track record of successfully managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Experience in the confectionery industry preferred
  • Defending thesis or participated in studies on chocolate or cocoa knowledge field
  • Analytical and mathematical skills
  • Conceptual and integrated, holistic thinker
  • Drive and dedication to change
  • Ability to influence
  • Strong stakeholder management
  • Self-starter, ability to take initiative
