The Finance Business Partner (FBP) CSD in Pennsauken, New Jersey, USA, acts as the “financial eyes” in the plant for the local plant management team, regional Customer Supply and Development (CSD) Team, and the Finance organization. This role partners with various organizational stakeholders and is part of the local plant manufacturing management team.
The FBP is accountable and responsible for analyzing and ensuring the accuracy of the local financial results versus targets for operational (in) efficiencies, material usage variances, direct and indirect factory costs, headcount, scrap, etc. Due to the significant impact on the results, material usage should be emphasized. The incumbent will also be responsible for the facility's internal controls. As a Finance BP, this position is key and part of the site management team. Good interpersonal interaction skills and being a team player are important to be effective.
Job Responsibilities include:
- Advise the CSD management team in short and long-term decision-making
- Acts as the steward of the P&L, ensuring all costs are justified and, where applicable, can be mitigated within the P&L
- Analyze, interpret, and manage financial and business performance with a particular emphasis on material variance analysis (scrap, rework, raw material yield)
- Monitor and evaluate performance against budget or forecast, identify risks and opportunities, and review results with cost center budget holders on the site
- Stay close to day to day financial Performance of the plant to support month-end close
- Create investment proposals for the site/liaising with various stakeholders
- Proactively provide financial insights on efficiency improvements, cost savings, expansion projects, footprint studies, inventory optimizations, and other potential projects
- Prepare budgets and forecasts together with budget holders
- Ad hoc financial analyses to provide insights
- Ensure integrity and financial controls
- Ability to adhere to GMP practices and all other food safety requirements.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or similar
- 7-10+ years of experience in Finance (controlling/accounting) or similar experience
- Experience in a multinational company, preferably in B2B/food industries
- Knowledge of controlling (GAAP) and financial methodologies and reporting
- Analytical, hands-on, flexible, and solutions-oriented
- Leadership skills and the ability to influence
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong team (functional and cross-functional) player and collaborator
- Change management and process improvement
- Knowledgeable in MS Office Suite and SAP
- Travel Requirement: 0-10%
