About the role

Within the OSCO APAC and global strategy and guidelines, the Site Manager will direct, plans, organizes, develops & controls all activities of the site functions and accountable for the compliance and optimization of the budget-driven assets utilization in order to meet short, medium, and long term operating objectives set by the corporate business plan and goals.


Key responsibilities include

  • Ensure a safe, healthy, and positive environment, lead by example
    • Lead, direct, and control the day-to-day activities of the site to achieve a safe workplace,  short, and medium-term operating objectives set by the overall corporate business plan.
    • Lead, direct, evaluate, and develop a team of functional and operational managers or other professionals to ensure that the site meets its established targets and standards.
    • Lead and build the site team and to ensure that the organization structure and management capability to achieve its business objectives and in turn create value for its employees.
  • Assure internal and external qualityResearch, evaluate, and recommend investments in technology, capital, equipment, systems, or other assets that will enhance the site’s production capabilities.
  • Optimize assets to convert raw materials to finished goods: Allocate labor and capital resources to maximize productivity.
  • Meet or exceed demands and requirements for customer performanceDevelop and drive the implementation of a variety of operating policies and procedures (in line with corporate subject matter experts) to ensure that the site meets or exceeds its current and future production targets and quality standards.
  • Support APAC OSCO strategySet the short and medium-term strategy for the site in line with OSCO strategy including Continuous Improvement, Quality, and Safety.
  • Meet or exceed budget
    • Establish operating budgets; monitor the cost and effectiveness of production activities to optimize resources, prioritize spending, and achieve volume, quality, and manufacturing standards.
    • Ensure the cost profile is in line with set parameters through guidance in the appropriate placement of processes and systems in order to monitor and control its entire operations effectively and efficiently maximized so as to achieve its financial targets and continue to maintain the confidence of Regional & Exco.
    • Responsible for full compliance of quality expectations meeting specifications.
  • Assure contingencySet, and monitor the performance of the site against standards and targets in areas such as manufacturing and administration efficiency, cost control (budget process, controlling, measurement, KPI management), legal compliance, and human resource management along with organizational and technical regulations, to assure a standard contingency response in the event of an emergency.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships and execute regional and corporate projects including legal compliance and risk management
  • Internal Stakeholders:
    • Regional OSCO, Regional GM: Alignment On Regional Objectives, Monthly Status, Issues
    • US/DS Leaders, CI Leader, Engineering Leader, Site Maintenance Leader, HR, Finance, HSE Leader, Local QA: Supply Chain Alignment, Daily Status, Objectives, KPI’s
    • Corporate Communication: Alignment of Corporate Program & Directions
  • External stakeholders:
    • Authorities: Certifications / Legal & Compliance Obligations  & Fulfillments
    • Auditors: Annual Reviews/ Performance Monitoring /Gaps
    • Legal Support: Open Cases


About you

  • Possess a minimum degree or Master's Degree in the general technical field.
  • 10 -15 years in a production environment including Process or Food manufacturing experience.
  • Continuous improvement, CAPEX, and projects management
  • Strong technical background, with business acumen, leadership skills, and advanced English language.
  • Able to challenge scientific arguments.
  • Good interpersonal and negotiating skills.
  • Good communication and influencing skills.
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written) is required.
  • Able to work pro-actively, possess a can-do attitude, and a result-oriented mindset.
  • Strong knowledge of MS office package
