About the Job

The reliability engineer is responsible to improve the equipment reliability within the stream. To drive, coordinate and monitor progress of equipment reliability improvement activities. To measure reliability indicators within the stream, then follow-up with actions to ensure that production equipment, machinery, or instruments function reliably and safely.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading reliability-centered maintenance program
  • Identifying modification needs, missing maintenance activities and missing critical spares parts from reliability-centered maintenance studies
  • Inspecting equipment for suitability and if the maintenance is fit for purpose.
  • Following-up to ensure actions are execute accordingly
  • Monitoring and measure improvement after actions execution
  • Reviewing  the actions if necessary
  • Set-up and visualize the measurement program for reliability indicators
  • Analysis the indicators to identify bottleneck related to safety, equipment availability, productivity, quality and cost.
  • Coordinate discussion to identify solutions and actions
  • Agreed trigger conditions with stream lead and maintenance stream lead.
  • Initiate and coordinate the investigation and root cause finding processes when trigger activated.



  • The candidate must possess at least a Bachelor Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
  • At least with 3 years of experience in industrial reliability or maintenance field. Experience in automotive industry is preferred.
  • Familiar with reliability indicators such as MTBF, MTTR, OEE, rework, stock out, work identification, and assets cost trends.
  • Electrical, instrument and automation knowledge is an asset.
  • Added advantage will be given to those with experience in processing equipment such as presses, mills, packing line, chiller system, hydraulic & pneumatic system, steam system, blower, screw conveyor, rotary feeder and precision maintenance.
  • Posseses good business understanding and people coordination skills.
  • Logical and good on data visualization.


Additional Skills and Knowledge

  • Familiar with RCA (Root cause analysis)
  • RCM (Reliability-centered maintenance)
  • FMECA (Failure mode effect critical analysis)
  • Good conversation in English.
