About the role:
The Production Scheduler plays a key role in ensuring that all production activities are planned, coordinated, and executed efficiently, safely, and in full compliance with food safety standards and Free Trade Zone requirements. This role ensures optimal production flow, timely delivery, and effective resource allocation across materials, people, and equipment. The Production Scheduler also leads the factory supply chain coordination and represents supply chain operations to the Plant Manager.
Key responsibilities:
- Work in full alignment with all company policies and standards related to Health & Safety and environmental protection.
- Ensure strict adherence to legal requirements and customer guidelines.
- Promote a culture of compliance across all production‑related activities.
- Actively respect, implement, and promote “safety first” behavior.
- Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices and promote a “zero tolerance” mindset in food safety.
- Create, monitor, and analyze production schedules in line with confectionery industry standards and Free Trade Zone requirements.
- Schedule production processes based on material, employee, and equipment availability, differentiating domestic and export flows.
- Monitor production workflows and timelines to ensure on‑time delivery in full compliance with customs regulations.
- Assign production tasks efficiently to minimize costs and meet delivery deadlines.
- Review production specifications, identify plant capacity constraints, and escalate issues when needed.
- Work with the manager to implement process improvements.
- Ensure materials and equipment are prepared in advance for production.
- Collaborate with managers to develop improvement solutions for production performance.
- Coordinate with production, logistics, and controlling teams to maintain accurate scheduling parameters.
- Order and stock adequate raw materials to avoid shortages.
- Oversee routine equipment maintenance coordination to avoid production delays.
- Generate weekly production reports to support management decision‑making.
- Develop production schedules based on sales orders, forecasts, plant capacity, workforce availability, and expected new business.
- Coordinate the factory supply chain team and represent them toward the Plant Manager (team: Material Planner – Inventory Controller – Logistics Expert)
About you:
- University degree in Logistics, Road Transport, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in logistics operations, ideally within the food industry.
- Strong working knowledge of SAP/ERP systems (WMS/TMS).
- Excellent English skills — written and spoken.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Experience in supplier management and transport scheduling/execution.
- Experience working in Free Trade Zone operations and inward processing.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to evaluate capacity, constraints, and workflow efficiency.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across cross‑functional teams.
- Ability to solve problems proactively and propose improvements.
- Organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to prioritize effectively.
- Team‑oriented mindset with the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and ensure process alignment.
