About the role:

As an Operations QA Supervisor, you will ensure that all production shifts comply with Barry Callebaut’s quality standards and food safety regulations.
This is a shop‑floor‑focused role: you will implement and maintain quality procedures, conduct routine checks, support root cause analysis, and drive a strong quality culture through training and coaching. You will collaborate closely with manufacturing, packing, and warehouse teams to safeguard product integrity and compliance.
 

Key responsibilities:

  • Support the implementation and maintenance of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and food safety systems across production, packing, and warehouse.
  • Ensure compliance with HACCP, GFSI standards (including FSSC 22000 and IFS), and enforce GMP/GWP.
  • Maintain a high presence on the shop floor, performing standardized daily checks and reporting findings to QA.
  • Conduct shift/area checks of operations, finished products, CCPs/OPRPs, sanitation procedures, pest control, and quality trends.
  • Deliver on‑the‑job training (OJT) for manufacturing, packing, and warehouse teams on quality procedures, GMP/GWP, HACCP, and food safety requirements.
  • Provide real‑time support to resolve quality issues and guide non‑conformance and corrective actions (CAPA) processes.
  • Analyze quality data and prepare reports to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Investigate complaints or issues related to production and assist in root cause analysis (RCA) and CAPA plans.
  • Support closure of gaps identified during internal and external audits and ensure sustainability of corrective actions.
  • Act as a Quality Culture advocate on the shop floor.

About you:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, Food Science, or equivalent (or Engineering degree with relevant experience).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in quality/food safety within the food industry, including formal HACCP training.
  • Formal training in GFSI standards, preferably FSSC 22000 and IFS.
  • Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMP, Pathogen Environmental Monitoring, and facility/equipment design for food safety.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to train and coach operational teams.
  • English language proficiency is a must; local language fluency is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in MS Office; SAP knowledge is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills; ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
