Head of Cocoa SEE

About the role:
As Head of Cocoa Sales SEE, you will be the key driver of cocoa product sales across 11 countries. You’ll lead strategic growth, build strong customer relationships, and act as the voice of SEE customers within Barry Callebaut’s global cocoa business.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to grow volume and premium across SEE.
- Act as the main point of contact for cocoa customers and distributors in the region.
- Indirectly manage BC sales teams and cross-functional stakeholders (Customer Service, R&D, Finance).
- Translate cocoa market trends into actionable insights for customers and internal teams.
- Build tailored business development plans per customer to drive growth.
- Foster strong relationships with key decision-makers on the customer side.
- Collaborate with chocolate counterparts and cocoa teams across Asia, Africa, and Europe.
About you:
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Commerce, or related field.
- 10+ years of commercial experience, including 5+ years in cocoa trading/products.
- Proven track record in value-added selling and commercial achievements.
- Fluent in English.
- Deep understanding of commodity markets, especially cocoa.
- Strong financial acumen and margin management skills.
- Knowledge of cocoa product specs, manufacturing, contracting, and logistics.
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- Structured, solution-oriented, and creative mindset.
