About the role: 

 

As a Finance Business Partner at Barry Callebaut’s Novi Sad location, you will play a critical role in supporting and optimizing financial performance within the Customer Specific Development (CSD) department. Acting as the main Finance interface, you will collaborate closely with management teams to guide operational decisions and provide insights into business opportunities, risks, and their financial impacts. This role offers the opportunity to work on transformation programs and initiatives that drive both operational and financial improvements. You will ensure short- and long-term financial performance by embedding strong financial controls and aligning resources to meet business objectives. As a trusted partner to the plant manager and a visible presence on the shop floor, you will embody leadership and contribute to building an efficient and effective financial ecosystem.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Support CSD transformation programs, projects, and initiatives to enhance operational and financial performance.
  • Collaborate with project leaders and oversee financial deliverables.
  • Conduct program and project reviews, implementing corrective actions as needed to meet financial commitments.
  • Partner with management to ensure short- and long-term financial objectives are achieved.
  • Proactively identify and implement financial improvement opportunities within the functional scope.
  • Maintain financial integrity and effective controls in your area of responsibility.
  • Provide insights and guidance to prioritize resources based on financial and operational data.

 

About you:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (Master’s preferred)
  • Proficiency in English at a business level.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Finance Business Partner or in a similar role.
  • Operational experience, ideally within a multinational organization in the B2B or food industry.
  • Strong background in Controlling/FP&A and understanding of accounting principles.
  • Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
  • Project management experience is a strong asset.
  • Effective communication and team collaboration.
  • Ability to operate in changing environments with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
  • Strategic thinking with attention to detail at a transactional level.
