About the role

  • Part of the Research & Development team, the Technical Advisor is based in Mumbai where we have our Application Lab, and reports to the Head of Product Development, India Subcontinent, with a dotted line reporting to Asia Pacific Manager for Technical Services.

 

Key responsibilities include

  • The Technical Advisor assists with all technical service and application support matters.
  • He / She provides technical support to existing & new customers and occasionally creates new market opportunities.
  • The technical advisor visits various customer manufacturing facilities on technical service “intervention” calls to solve customer issues.
  • He / She leads the troubleshooting activities in India and provides support to the Region whenever required. Additionally, his / her role gives technical training to customers.
  • He / She collaborates with the Customer R&D segment to advise customers in the application of choice of the right product range, suitable to the installation and physical environment of the customer’s manufacturing capabilities.
  • The technical advisor gets guidance and support from the Regional Technical Service Manager on more complex activities, ad hoc requests, and issues in the execution of his duties.
  • The Technical Advisor is in charge of the India pilot plant and application lab.
  • The primary focus of the role is on Bakery and Pastry applications; Industrial Baking. The candidate should have sound technical knowledge of the ingredients, technology, and added verticals such as Chocolate and Confectionery, Ice cream, Beverages, Breakfast Cereals.

 

About you 

  • Bachelor / Master Degree in Food Science, Food Process Engineering, Food Technology.
  • 8+ years of experience in Bakery, Ingredients, and Food processing
  • Experience in product development, strong application knowledge, and troubleshooting
  • Experience in Project Management & Leadership
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite and database management
  • Fluent Business English
