JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for achieving the annual sales volume targets for the (region/zone) of India. This role involves managing the sales team to expand our distributor network, increase penetration in bakery-SI key accounts, and introduce our products to new end-users. The Regional Sales Manager plans, organizes, directs, and oversees all activities of the field sales team in alignment with the strategy outlined by the Commercial Sales Director Gourmet.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES & SCOPE
• Provide guidance and empowerment to field sales team. Maintain Discipline and structure of sales management, including business reviews, team meetings, Customer meetings.
• Develop new customers, new products and new markets; maximize volumes, sales margins and customer profitability. • Collect marketing information for strategy proposal, assure continuous up-to- date knowledge in market data and act as advisor. Produce timely and accurate reports of the business activities.
• Communication with internal departments (R&D, QA, production, logistics,finance, etc.) in order to assure that sales commitments can be properly executed.
• Manage the planning of resources(budget, forecast, manpower, etc.
Scope:
This is a regional role optimizing PAN India opportunities. It involves Tapping new business opportunities, New customer activation planning. Envisage directing the efforts towards a combined quantity of 2500 to 5000 tons catering to a clientele of more than 450 clients and grow to with the objective to achieve a margin target of % growth.
EDUCATION, LANGUAGE, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor or Master Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Food Science, Food Technology or similar.
Experience in Project Management & team leadership. ● Fluent Business English and local language.

CANDIDATE PROFILE:
Exposure of minimum 15+ years of experience in the food industry, flavor, or palm oil, FMCG. Able to manage master distributors /key accounts to create new sales, by identifying potential needs in the market, highly self-motivated.
Experience in the gourmet/food ingredient market, preferably gourmet chocolate. Alternatively, experience in other softs/agricultural commodities trading or selling is also appreciated, most preferable in the Fine or Flavor/Specialty Market.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE / TECHNICAL OR FUNCTIONAL COMPETENCIES
• Business development, trading, sales and origination skills and experience. Have experience in managing client relationships, ideally across a number of different geographies.
• Outstanding presentation skills and showing can do attitude
• Experience in Sales or client interaction, negotiation and persuasive communication
• Good knowledge of working tools (MS Office, Salesforce, SAP)
