This position is located in Monterrey or Toluca


Under the responsibility of the R&D Director LATAM North.  Senior Customer Lead will be responsible for management of R&D projects and for the development of new products. The R&D Senior Customer Lead is linked to the Sales Team and so also to their customers. The Senior Customer R&D Lead will be responsible for translating customer requirements into projects and new products, resulting in growth in volumes and margins. The individual in this role will be a technical key contact and solution provider for the customer



  • Manage new product development projects from theoretical recipe to lab prototype and then to industrial product for internal and external clients. Completing full project follow-up and completion of necessary project documents, including recipe creation
  • Lead the relevant R&D product experts and technologists, who will help to produce lab samples and move projects forward.
  • Translate technical learnings and insights in to commercial opportunities.
  • Provide necessary technical support to vendors, customers and operations when problems occur with products
  • Leads and holds accountable team members to assess and manage risks, drive decision making, and ensure adherence to timeline, milestones, and overall objectives.
  • Participate in customers visits and plant trials as needed to support customer projects
  • Participate actively in the various projects of the Research and Development team and have close interaction with Sales, Operations and Quality;
  • Be the key technical contact for the customer and ensure development of internal and external customer relations and maintaining communication.
  • Provide technical support to existing and new customers, and create new market opportunities.
  • Advise the sales team on technical and application matters. Advise/Assist all departments as needed on any technical issues relating to the manufacturing of confectionery products.
  •  Complete full project follow-up and completion of necessary project documents including recipe creation.
  • Lead the  R&D lab team  in US08



    Bachelor’s Degree in Food Technology Sciences, Food Engineering or Food Science; Masters preferred
    Min. 8 years relevant experience in food industry, knowledge of confectionery sector is a plus
    Software knowledge of Microsoft Office applications required;
    Software knowledge of SAP would be an asset. 

    Languages: Spanish and English compulsory, Portuguese is a plus

    Open to travel when needed
