As a Tax Manager, you are responsible for overseeing the tax area, ensuring coordination and compliance with federal and local tax obligations. You must generate and deliver complete, accurate, reliable, and timely tax information for the Mexican entities and stakeholders. Additionally, you will collaborate with external auditors in the preparation and determination of financial statements to ensure compliance with statutory obligations.

 

Key responsibilities include: 

  • Oversee and manage the company’s tax function, ensuring compliance with all federal and local tax laws and regulations.
  • Develop and implement innovative tax planning strategies to optimize tax positions and minimize liabilities.
  • Ensure accurate tax accounting, including the correct calculation of tax provisions and reconciliation of tax-related accounts.
  • Identify and mitigate tax risks by staying updated on legislative changes and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage and coordinate both internal and external tax and financial audits, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
  • Supervise and evaluate tax team performance, providing guidance, training, and professional development. Optimize team performance.
  • Own processes related to the recovery of tax balances in favor and other tax incentives.
  • Manage transfer pricing matters in collaboration with external advisors.
  • Build strong relationships and collaborate with internal stakeholders and external tax authorities, consultants, and auditors.
  • Continuously improve tax processes by developing and implementing best practices.

 

About you:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax, or a related field. 

  • At least 5 Years of experience in Tax compliance matters.

  • Strong knowledge of tax regulations, tax accounting, and financial reporting. 

  • Experience with corporate income tax, indirect taxes, international taxation, and transfer pricing

  • Proficiency in SAT platforms

  • Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP)

  • Advanced Excel

  • English: capable of keeping business communication
