Customer Documentation Specialist

About the role:
The Customer Quality Documentation Expert ensures professional and timely responses to customer technical documentation requests, specifications, questions related to BC programs, factories and products. This role will be responsible for maintaining a strong working knowledge of customer requirements, BC food safety programs, BC specifications, regulatory requirements and claims. This position will maintain close working relationships with various departments including: Food Safety, Microbiology, R&D, Regulatory Affairs and our Commercial Teams to ensure alignment with internal and customer expectations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Provides professional and timely responses to customer technical documentation requests and questions
- Conduct customer specification reviews and align requirements with BC requirements/capabilities, negotiate and offer alternative options where appropriate.
- Assures the implementation of customer requirements into BC Quality Systems including the certificate profiles
- Analyzes customer inquiries to identify recurring questions and areas for improvement and efficiency
- Where appropriate, identifies improvement areas, define and follow up on the action plans
- Understands, review and provides feedback on the impact of projects regarding customer requirements
- Ensures constant communication with all parties involved in order to maintain the integrity of the documentation
- systems, technical and regulatory database
- Responsible for managing online documentation websites for our different user groups.
About you:
- Bachelor Degree in Food Science/Food Technology or equivalent
- Knowledge of Food Regulations, GMP, HACCP and Basic Micro
- FSMA knowledge a plus
- Basic food process operations (ideally Confectionary, Biscuits, Snacks, Nuts, ice-cream, Fillings)
- Min. 3 years experience in similar roles
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Computer Software Programs such as word, excel, SAP experience a plus
- Fluent in English and Spanish, additional languages are an asset (French and Portuguese)
