We are currently looking for a QA Lab Technician (Extra work/Student Job) for 10% FTE. This role applies to students who fill in when employees are absent or during high workload periods to ensure continuity in operations and maintain high product quality. The Laboratory Technician ensures that ASM Foods' products and services comply with technical specifications and meet internal and external requirements through analyses defined in the business system. The role supports quality control across ASM Foods and interacts with suppliers, production, and QA. It contributes to continuous improvement and compliance with global standards.

 

Responsibilities

  • Perform microbiological, analytical, and sensory tests according to defined frequency and method.
  • Send samples for external analysis and record results.
  • Release raw materials, semi-finished, and finished products.
  • Handle quality deviations and support production.
  • Maintain lab inventory and order supplies.
  • Monitor shelf life of raw materials and manage disposal.
  • Participate in audits and improvement projects.
  • Ensure lab routines follow global standards and are implemented.
  • Maintain and improve the sensory program.
  • Support RCA investigations and maintain training materials.
  • Occasional audits
  • Technicians back each other up during absences.
  • Role supports quality culture and continuous improvement.

 

Your profile

  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, food science, or similar
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in quality control in food or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Fluent in Swedish and English, both written and spoken.
  • Proficient in QDS, Axapta, and operational systems.
  • It's a plus to have experienced with HACCP, FSSC 22000/GFSI, GMP, and hygienic design. 
  • Proactive, positive, and open to inspiration.
  • Strong collaboration and independent working skills.
