As Operations Manager, you will lead the daily manufacturing operations across two production areas in Mjölby. Your mission is to ensure safe, efficient, and high‑quality production while driving continuous improvement and supporting our Go4Zero ambitions.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure safe, compliant, and efficient plant operations in line with safety, food safety, quality, and environmental standards.
  • Lead and develop operational teams, fostering a strong performance culture and cross‑functional collaboration.
  • Oversee daily production activities to meet volume, quality, cost, and service targets.
  • Partner with QA to maintain and improve the quality management system.
  • Drive continuous improvement, lean initiatives, and process optimization.
  • Manage maintenance activities to minimize downtime and ensure equipment reliability.
  • Support budget planning and monitor operational costs and resource utilization.
  • Ensure the factory infrastructure and production areas meet hygiene and audit requirements.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field (preferred).
  • Fluency in Swedish and advanced English.
  • Experience leading manufacturing operations, including working with Unions/Works Councils.
  • Strong technical background and understanding of plant processes.
  • Knowledge of safety, food safety, and quality regulations.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, SAP, and manufacturing systems (e.g., CMMS, MES).

Additional Information

  • Travel requirement: approx. 2 times per year.
  • This role is key to strengthening our safety and food safety culture and supporting the implementation of the Barry Callebaut Operational System.
