JOB SUMMARY 

 

The open position is for a sales support role for the sales team Regional Account

You will support the Sales Director and Key Account Managers and will be an important internal point of contact for all business topics linked to the Key Accounts in Italy together with them.

You will manage our business administration with detail, since this is a crucial factor in becoming a reliable partner to our key customers across Italy. Only with this firm basis, we can make our business grow.

You are the point of contact for different divisions (R&D, procurement, supply chain, logistics, …) at the customer side and you strive for a quick, correct and reliable answer to all of their needs. In order to service them, you will communicate extremely well with your team and your colleagues inside the company.

The role is based in Milano's office.

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                         

 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • You are responsible for supporting the continued growth of the Italian Key Accounts and the innovation focus that we have with them. The growth ambition we have is ‘smart growth’: we will grow in volume only when we can also grow in value. As sales support, you contribute to the commercial success of the team: volume, margin/mt, absolute margin, overdues %, cocoa powder sales, ...
  • You will be responsible for a wide scope of preparations related to customer visits or negotiation meetings: collaborating on presentations, preparing the practicalities of the visit, gathering and analysing information on prices, raw materials, logistics solutions
  • You will follow up on customer administration in a proactive way: manage contracts and check contract balances, reach out to customers in case of unclarities or uncertainties about orders
  • You will strive to increase both revenue and profitability through your customer focused approach, your profound knowledge of the key accounts as well as of Barry Callebaut, your drive and your preference for figures.

  • You are willing to travel from time to time (max 5%) if required for customer meetings

 

MARKET THE ROLE

 

As sales support for the Italian  Key Accounts, you will be handling A-level customers inside the organization with high visibility throughout different divisions and layers of our company.

The Key Accounts you will be supporting are a cornerstone of our business. True success derives from servicing the base very well, in order to innovate effectively and with trust together. As sales support, your role is a crucial enabler towards this goal.

 

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE

 

  • You have a (minimum) bachelor degree, preferably in commercial engineering or applied economics.
  • You have Italian native language and excellent knowledge of English.
  • An advanced knowledge level of Word and Excel is required.
  • SAP user experience is a plus.
  • You are a team player with an analytical mindset and strong commercial attitude.
  • You are determined to succeed and thrive in an entrepreneurial environment
  • A first experience in a commercial B2B-environment and understanding of the mechanics in commodity markets (cocoa, sugar, dairy, nuts, fats & oils) is a plus.
  • You love chocolate.
