About the role
- The Finance Business Partner controls and optimizes the utilization of Finance resources in-country to drive the short- and long-term financial performance of the Australia business. As the main Finance interface of the assigned business, this role supports and advises the local management team in strategic and operational decision-making processes, and contributes to developing business strategy. The role will proactively provide insights into business opportunities and risks as well as the respective financial impact.
- The Finance Business Partner will also support and drive initiatives aimed at improving operational, and financial performance and is responsible/accountable for the short- and long-term financial performance of the local business along with the respective management team. The Finance Business Partner is responsible for setting up / optimizing commercial business flows across various Finance workstreams, developing and supervising the respective team member(s) while providing guidance where necessary.
Key responsibilities include
- Business Partnering
- Support the business and management in preparing and determining business objectives, strategies, and tactics
- Provide meaningful decision support to management whilst influencing and challenging key decisions
- Lead and perform analyses of multi-dimensional business components (e.g., customers, products, markets)
- Lead and coordinate projects to improve business performance and operations
- Develop, analyze, and present overall financial performance to the local management
- Team Supervision / Driving Team Effectiveness
- FP&A: Led the preparation of budgets/forecasts and strategic plans including developing assumptions and performing budget/forecast report reviews with the local management
- OSCO BP: Drive factory operational management reviews, steer financial performance
- Local Finance Operations
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives regarding processes, technologies, and organization
- Manage and optimize resources locally to achieve a high level of operational efficiency and accuracy
About you
- Bachelor’s / Master’s in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or similar
- English business proficiency (written and spoken)
- 8-12 years experience in finance as a people manager or head of Finance
- Strong leadership experience
- Experience in a multinational company, preferably in B2B / food industries / FMCG / fast-paced environment
- Knowledge or specific business understanding
- Manufacturing and/or trading business model
- Financial controlling
- Commercial controlling
- SAP knowledge in FICO
