Europe Chocolate Company (ECC) is a chocolate processing company located in Malle. ECC is part of Barry Callebaut, the world's largest cocoa processor. In our factory, we process more than 2,500 tons of chocolate annually for a variety of different customers.

As a QA assistant, you will be responsible for proactively supporting production, which delivers optimal performance thanks to your (team) efforts. As the first-line contact, you are responsible for safeguarding quality and promoting the quality culture on the work floor. Within your position, you report to the QA manager.

 

Key responsibilities include

 

  • You perform quality controls and sampling and check the associated production documents
  • You perform environmental monitoring on the entire site and coordinate the necessary actions with the laboratories involved. - Drawing up and updating product specifications, sheets and database
  • Preparing, supervising and following up on internal and external audits
  • Following up, reporting and classifying non-conformities to customers and/or suppliers with associated root cause analyses to solve problems
  • You regularly perform trace and recall tests
  • You are partly responsible for providing training
  • You are partly responsible for developing procedures and work instructions
  • You are partly responsible for setting up the digitalisation of the quality manual. Profile:

About you

 

  • Bachelor (food related)
  • Experience is a plus but not a must
  • Knowledge of HACCP
  • Very good knowledge of Dutch and good knowledge of English
  • Good communication, can motivate and stimulate employees
  • Knowledge of Word and Excel
  • You can work independently but also in a team
  • You take initiative and can think in terms of problem solving
  • Flexible attitude
