About the role:

As a Workforce Planning Process Manager you will oversee the execution of Barry Callebaut’s annual Workforce Planning cycle, making sure the process runs smoothly and provides valuable insight to our business.

 

You play a key role in enabling the global HR organization in conducting an efficient and well planned budget for both personnel cost and FTE/Headcount across all our divisions. Your key role is to ensure the process runs smoothly, the tool and technology are fit for purpose and the outcomes are valuable to our business.

 

Based in Lodz, you will join the Global People Analytics team headquartered in Zurich, within the Corporate HR organization. But you will work across functions, in close collaboration with other departments like Finance, IM/IT and key Business stakeholders on the preparation, planning, and governance of this strategic global cycle.

 

Besides the budgeting and forecasting cycles, you will also be involved in People KPI reporting and visualization, providing insights across the HR community around our people investments.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead the execution of the global WFP process with high exposure and visibility:
    • You will work closely with Finance and HR Compensation & Benefits teams across all regions to understand and define the fundamentals of forecasting Employee costs
    • You will work closely with IM/IT and developers, translate business needs into more technical requirements, to ensure the budgeting and forecasting tool is fit for purpose.
    • You will conduct user acceptance tests, and try the tool for yourself, to ensure it remains user-friendly and supports efficient and effective execution and cost calculation.
    • Facilitate change management and improvements in the efficiency and effectiveness of the planning cycle, work to minimize workload impact and maximize value to the business of the resources and effort invested.
  • Be the subject matter expert and guru of Position Management on an ongoing basis:
    • You will make sure the right salary and position information is made available for budget development, but also for monthly reporting, ensuring integrity and accuracy in the position management system.
    • You will be the global subject matter expert on guidelines and principles for running position management in the "right" way.
  • Provide clarity and valuable insights to leadership and business partners:
    • Conduct analysis of actuals vs. historical data, prepare reports and recommendations on headcount / FTE growth, vacancy rates, and other key monitoring metrics.
    • Provide monthly FTE reports & analysis for Top management business leaders, highlighting areas where we observe organizational growth.

 

About you:

  • Min. 2 years of experience as Financial Analyst, Workforce Planning Analyst, Financial Controller, Total Rewards Analyst or similar within Finance or HR.
  • Experience with global process management and delivery to fixed deadlines, ideally with budget process and solid understanding of budgeting of personnel costs.
  • Ideally, experience with at least one programming or scripting language.  
  • Ideally, experience with at least one data visualization tool.   
  • Good communication & stakeholder management.
  • Detail oriented, analytical and number focused.
  • Willingness to travel (5-10% of time).
  • Fluent in English.
