Transport Planner (with German)

About the Role:
The Transport Planner is responsible for executing transport plans in accordance with customer requirements, agreed-upon processes, following high standards of safety, quality and service and resolving any transport-related issues promptly and efficiently. The role of Transport Planner is also management of transportation costs (standard & extra costs) with special focus on productivity projects.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Coordinate SAP orders and loading requests with 4PL and approved carriers
- Ensure timely unloading appointments and validate 4PL invoices
- 4PL performance management
- Issue and manage loading documents and monitor deliveries
- Handle transport disputes by investigating causes and preparing administrative files
- Update and maintain performance indicators monthly
- Conduct transport cost and service quality studies
- Participate in meetings and tenders to resolve issues and improve processes
- Transport complaint management
- Act as Transport SPOC for CCA’s regarding transport issues & changes
- Support for the Hamburg Cocoa site
About You:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Operations, Transport, Logistic and Business-related field
- 3+ years of experience in Transportation and/or Distribution
- Strong proficiency in English and German – verbal and written
- Familiarity with Transportation Planning Tools (preferable TMS)
- Experience in SAP (SAP EWM additional asset)
- Proficient in MS Office
- Customer focus, flexibility, adaptability
- Stress-resistant, strong problem solving skills
- Professional competence in domestic and international transport
