Transport Planner (with French)

About the role:

As a Transport Planner, you will be responsible for planning and executing outbound transportation in a dynamic, operational environment. This role is ideal for someone with hands‑on experience in transport planning who enjoys working close to daily operations, coordinating with carriers, warehouses, and internal teams to ensure safe, efficient, and on‑time deliveries. We are looking for someone who already understands transport operations and planning logic, and who is eager to further develop their technical and system knowledge in a supportive team environment.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute daily outbound transportation in line with safety, quality, and service standards.
  • Create delivery notes and transport orders in SAP, TMS, and customer platforms.
  • Coordinate loading schedules and transport execution with external carriers.
  • Organize intercompany outbound transports and manage customer returns.
  • Adjust transport plans in response to ad‑hoc changes, delays, or customer updates.
  • Collaborate closely with Warehouse, Production Planning, Quality, and Customer Care.
  • Monitor carrier performance, handle delays, claims, and support insurance cases.
  • Control transport costs, including invoice verification and extra cost management.
  • Track transport KPIs (e.g. OTIF) and support corrective actions.
  • Prepare reports and support continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency.

 

About you:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Transport, Logistics, Operations, Business, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in transport planning or distribution.
  • Practical experience in transport planning.
  • Experience with TMS systems, SAP experience is an advantage.
  • Fluent in English and French (spoken and written).
  • Experience with liquid or tank transport (e.g. tankers, bulk) is a strong asset.
  • Good organizational and problem‑solving skills.
  • Customer‑focused, flexible, and able to work in a fast‑changing environment.
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail and costs.
  • Team player with a proactive, “can‑do” attitude and CI mindset.
