About the role:
The technical Manager is responsible for coordinating tasks related to conducting investment projects in all areas of activity, including the machinery, buildings, and external areas. Additionally, he manages the maintenance department, thus taking responsibility for the efficient use of resources and ensuring production continuity. He or she is directly responsible for implementing PM, TPM, and IWS programs as well as for managing CAPEX projects and supporting or coordinating other projects aiming at generating savings.
Key responsibilities:
- Being BCOS (Barry Callebaut Operational System) local coach and pillar lead for preventive maintenance and breakdown elimination.
- Organizing and coordinating the work of the subordinate team (engineers, Maintenance, facility maintenance).
- Taking care of employees' development.
- Planning the budget of subordinate departments, considering generating savings (spare parts, facility, and contracted services).
- Manage investment projects directly or by delegating tasks to team members.
- Cooperation with other factories and regional or global functions.
- Supervision of the effective maintenance of machines, devices, and the entire infrastructure.
- Supporting and implementing modern methods of maintenance management, energy use, waste management, production, etc.
- Compliance with working time and regulations established at the workplace,
- Compliance with occupational health and safety regulations and principles, as well as fire safety regulations and food safety.
- Management of the investment project agenda (CAPEX), their analysis, and development to achieve the assumed goals.
About you:
- Higher degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical, automation) or equivalent experience.
- Experience in the food or chemical processing industry or another developed industrial environment.
- Strong production process knowledge
- Communicative English written and spoken, understanding technical language.
- SAP, BC Batch, MES, or other industrial system.
- IWS or equivalent system.
- Change management.
- People management.
- Ability to understand basic financials to be able to take part in budget preparation and monitoring
- Continuous Improvement and 5S practical knowledge.
- Good communication and presentation skills.
