Technical Buyer - Indirect Spend (with Dutch)

About the role:
The role of Technical Buyer - Indirect Spend, will work according to the BC Sourcing Policy for Technical – Indirect Spend and will:
- represent the BC sourcing department in the technical area
- support indirect technical spending (Opex and Capex), and look for short-term opportunities through spot buy reduction.
- collaborate with the business - to give our company a competitive advantage in either technology or cost.
Key responsibilities:
- Analyze the needs for assigned spending categories.
- Monitors and reports results and KPIs. Take actions where necessary to improve KPIs.
- Provide service to internal customers (engineering and maintenance organization, Lab, R&D, HSE, Facility mgmt.)
- Work on standardization of materials and services, supplier rationalization, implementing purchasing contracts, further streamlining purchasing processes, optimizing purchasing systems (implement catalogs etc.) & spend segmentation
- Support strategic sourcing initiatives to deliver long-range programs for MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operating Supplies) and related capital services.
- Support a complete follow-up of the entire procure-to-pay process ( p2p) (PO creation- Goods delivery- goods receipts – invoice payment).
About you:
- Bachelor's Master's degree in Business Administration, Economics, and/or Accounting.
- 5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Fluent in English and Dutch (written and verbal) required. French (written and verbal) is optional.
- Experience with ERP systems (i.e. Maximo, SAP).
- Experience in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PPT), Google Suite, BW/BO spend analytics.
