Job summary:
In support of planning, developing and implementing a productive Talent Acquisition strategy, the Talent Acquisition Specialist steers the end-to-end talent acquisition cycle across multiple functions in different functional areas and levels in the organization and acts as an advisor to the Business, the HR stakeholders and Regional Head of Talent Acquisition in all recruitment related activities. He/she follows the process for finding, recruiting, hiring and retaining talented candidates for the roles dedicated to him/her. He/she supports and drives several recruitment and employer branding related initiatives and projects. 


Key responsibilities:

  • You organize intakes with the hiring manager to gain a deep understanding of the role, required competencies and experience. 
  • You prepare internal and external job advertisements, web postings, specifications for external recruitment agencies, job descriptions and other materials in accordance with Barry Callebaut’s recruitment standards and business needs.
  • You launch the vacancies and publish them through the available channels and together with the Talent Acquisition Manager you develop the external recruitment and sourcing strategy. 
  • You manage the internal pipeline of candidates and you partner with our Centre of Expertise “Talent Management” on internal talent movements.  
  • You conduct competency based interviews with both internal and external candidates to evaluate competencies, experience, motivation and cultural fit. This in support of and in collaboration with the hiring manager.
  • You respond to enquiries from candidates, managers and external recruitment agencies about our recruitment activities and about the status of job vacancies.
  • For final candidates, together with the HR BP or Talent Acquisition manager, you support with regards to contract management. 
  • In preparation of on boarding process of the new employee, you request all necessary information and documents. 
  • You actively participate in virtual job fairs and other recruitment venues so that potential candidates have an opportunity to learn about the organization and its recruitment activities.
  • You support with reporting, KPI’s for Talent Acquisition, preparation of monthly approval process
  • You support with tools used for Recruitment and assessment 


About you:

  • Bachelor Degree in Organizational Psychology, Economics, or similar.
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience in Recruitment & Selection, preferably in a complex international environment and/or recruitment agency. 
  • Fluent in English and French, any additional languages are a plus
  • Strong competency based interviewing skills.
  • Familiar with social media. 
  • You’re passionate about people and you show a great drive for your HR profession, willing to go the extra mile.
  • You consider yourself an enthusiastic team player & high energy professional.
  • You’re a service minded person with excellent listening skills.
  • You’re a professional communicator and you know how to tailor your message or approach based on the needs of your stakeholders.
  • You have strong problem solving and planning/coordinating skills
