About the role:
Barry Callebaut Digital (BC Digital) is on a mission to lead the digital revolution in the chocolate industry, and we're looking for a Solution Architect Pricing laying the foundation for software development projects and solution designs for our pricing solutions. Reporting to the Director Digital Sales & Salesforce Practice, you will drive and oversee the creation of architectural blueprints for pricing solutions, review the implementation of user stories in line with the solution design and guidelines, and support the creation of tender documents. You will also evaluate architectural changes and contribute to the further development of processes and standards within the company enhancing our differentiating digital capabilities. This is a global role with some travelling involved (up to 30% travel).
 


Key responsibilities:

  • Utilize technical expertise, business acumen, and leadership to integrate technology into the company’s strategic framework.
  • Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to design technical solutions based on business needs.
  • Create and document solution designs aligned with best practices and Enterprise Architecture guidelines.
  • Ensure user requirements for digital pricing solutions are implemented in line with design and guidelines.
  • Conceptualize, optimize, and review architectural changes, supporting stakeholders through implementation.
  • Provide mentorship to development teams, offering technical guidance on system and software architecture.
  • Present architectural designs to stakeholders, explaining how they meet business needs.
  • Conduct risk analysis, create technical specs, and support security measure implementations.
  • Work with key stakeholders across Europe (Wieze, Zurich) and other global locations

 

About you:

  • Graduate degree in IT, technology, computer science, engineering, or a related field.
  • Fluent in English.
  • 3+ years in Solution Architecture, Project Management, or similar fields.
  •  Advanced knowledge of SAP architecture, designs, and integration tools.
  • Understanding of modern software engineering and SAP best practices.
  • Knowledge of IT architecture management and related trends.
  • Experience driving change within diverse, global teams.
  • Familiarity with both waterfall and agile project methodologies, plus tools like JIRA.
  • Ability to build partnerships with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Self-driven, with strong analytical skills and a passion for digital innovation.
  • Embraces agile methodologies and adapts to evolving digital trends.
  • Committed to supporting colleagues and driving team success.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities, explaining complex issues clearly.
  • Stays updated on emerging technologies and industry trends.
