About the role:
Barry Callebaut Digital (BC Digital) is on a mission to lead the digital revolution in the chocolate industry, and we're looking for a Solution Architect Pricing laying the foundation for software development projects and solution designs for our pricing solutions. Reporting to the Director Digital Sales & Salesforce Practice, you will drive and oversee the creation of architectural blueprints for pricing solutions, review the implementation of user stories in line with the solution design and guidelines, and support the creation of tender documents. You will also evaluate architectural changes and contribute to the further development of processes and standards within the company enhancing our differentiating digital capabilities.

This global role requires collaboration with key stakeholders located in Europe (Wieze, Zurich) and may involve up to 30% travel.
 
Key responsibilities:

  • Combine technical know-how, business acumen, and leadership to align technology with company strategy.
  • Work closely with business analysts and stakeholders to design solutions that meet business needs.
  • Develop technical solutions in compliance with best practices and Enterprise Architecture guidelines.
  • Oversee the implementation of user requirements for digital Pricing solutions, ensuring alignment with design and architecture.
  • Lead and support stakeholders in reviewing and optimizing architectural changes.
  • Provide mentorship to development teams, perform code quality reviews, and act as a contact for system and software architecture queries.
  • Present architectural designs to stakeholders, demonstrating how they meet business needs.
  • Conduct risk analysis, create technical specifications, and support security measure implementations.

 
About you:

  • Graduate degree in IT/technology, data, computer science, engineering, business administration, or a related field.
  • Proficient in English.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Solution Architect, Project Manager, or in similar roles.
  • Advanced knowledge of SAP architecture, designs, and integration tools. Understanding of modern software engineering principles and SAP best practices.
  • Strong understanding of IT architecture management, roles, processes, and trends.
  • Proven success in working with diverse global teams and driving collaborative change.
  • Familiarity with both waterfall and agile methodologies and tools like JIRA.
  • Ability to build partnerships with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Independent, analytical, and solution-oriented personality.
  • Passion for digital technology, innovation, and creative problem-solving to enhance processes and user experiences.
  • Embraces agile methodologies and adaptability to digital trends and business needs.
  • Supports team success by sharing knowledge and experiences.
  • Strong analytical thinking and communication skills to explain complex issues clearly.
  • Stays updated with emerging technologies and trends.
