Barry Callebaut is the heart and engine of the cocoa and chocolate industry. We are looking for Health & Safety Specialist in Poland (PL) for Lodz Shared Service Center (PLSC). Job summary:

 

Employee’s duties include the tasks of the OHS personnel specified in art. 23711 section 2 of the Labor Code and according to the Regulation of 2 September 1997 of the Council of Ministers on the Occupational Safety and Health at Work.

 

A person on this position will be employed on 20% of working time (1 day a week).

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Conducting yearly inspection of working conditions and conformity with the occupational safety and health regulations and rules.
  • Preparing yearly reports and analyses of occupational safety and health conditions, including the suggestions for technical and organizational solutions to prevent risks to life and health and to improve the working conditions,
  • Presenting proposals concerning workstation ergonomy.
  • Participation in determining the circumstances and causes of accidents at work and drawing up conclusions after investigation of the causes and circumstances of such accidents and cases of occupational diseases.
  • Consulting in the field of occupational safety and health regulations.
  • Providing general instruction.
  • Organizing appropriate periodic training in occupational safety and health.
  • Providing information on any violation of the OHS rules and regulations and applying for penalties for employees responsible for such violations.
  • Keeping registers, completing and storing documents concerning accidents at work, diagnosed and suspected occupational diseases, as well as results of analyses and measurements of hazardous factors in the work environment.
  • Other tasks assigned by the employer, related with the organization of work according to the OHS rules and regulations.

 

Requirements:

 

  • Education in the field OHS.
  • At least 3 yeast of practical experience in the OHS service.
  • Computer skills, practical use of MS Office.
  • Good communication and problem solving skills.
