Senior Specialist, Group Financial Consolidation & Reporting

About the role:

The Senior Specialist, Group Accounting & Reporting / IFRS is responsible for coordinating and executing financial consolidation activities in line with the Group’s accounting and reporting guidelines and IFRS standards. The role reviews, analyses, and validates financial information submitted by subsidiaries, prepares key components of the Consolidated Financial Statements (including notes and disclosures), and ensures the integrity of the consolidation governance framework. Outside of closing cycles, the position supports IFRS experts and GAR managers with complex technical accounting topics, ad‑hoc analyses, and improvement projects.

Key responsibilities include:

Financial Consolidation & Reporting

• Support all legal entities in preparing and submitting local financial statements
• Execute and support monthly, quarterly, half-year and annual closing and consolidation activities
• Prepare reports with key financial metrics for internal stakeholders
• Post central consolidation adjustments and ensure accuracy of elimination entries
• Review reporting packages for half‑year and year‑end closings
• Contribute to external reporting and publication processes by preparing major sections of the consolidated financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statement, Notes)
• Support the GAR team with complex IFRS assessments, related memorandums, and other ad-hoc accounting activities
• Collaborate with external auditors during group audit procedures

Governance, Processes & Systems

• Document, standardize, and continuously improve consolidation processes
• Contribute to building robust backup structures and knowledge continuity within the team
• Deliver internal trainings on consolidation and IFRS topics
• Support the development and improvement of consolidation reports, checks, and controls
• Participate in automation initiatives and financial transformation projects

About you:

• University degree in economics, finance, business administration, or a related field
• Professional accounting qualification preferred (e.g., CPA, ACCA) with strong IFRS knowledge
• Minimum of three years of experience in group consolidation, external reporting, or audit (Big 4 experience is an advantage)
• High proficiency in MS Excel
• High IT affinity, ideally with experience in consolidation tools and reporting systems (SAP, BW, or similar)
• Fluency in English (spoken and written)
• Ability to work collaboratively in a global environment
