About the role:

Barry Callebaut Digital (BC Digital) is on a mission to lead the digital revolution in the chocolate industry, and we're looking for a Senior Solution Architect Logistics laying the foundation for software development projects and solution designs for our Logistics processes of our Supply Chain Management. Reporting to the Head of Digital Logistics, you will drive and oversee the creation of architectural blueprints for digital solutions, review the implementation of user stories in line with the solution design and guidelines, and support the creation of tender documents. You will also evaluate architectural changes and contribute to further developing processes and standards within the company, enhancing our differentiating digital capabilities. 

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Work with business analysts and business stakeholders to analyze and understand business requirements to design technical solutions that meet those needs.
  • Create solution designs according to best practices in compliance with technological and strategic requirements as well as our internal Enterprise Architecture guidelines for our digital logistics processes.
  • Review the implementation of user requirements in line with the solution design and guidelines.
  • Conceptualize and optimize the architecture and integration review architectural changes and support stakeholders through the implementation.
  • Be a contact person for questions on system and software architecture with regard to logistics processes (e.g. SAP ERP, SAP EWM, and Transport management solutions).
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development teams, including, being a contact person for questions on system and software architecture or performing code quality reviews according to best practices.
  • Present architectural designs and proposals to stakeholders and explain how they address business needs.
  • Carry out risk and problem analysis, create technical specifications, and support the implementation of security measures and standards.

 

About you:

  • Master’s degree in IT/technology, data, computer science, engineering, business administration, or a comparable field.
  • Proficient in English.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience as a solution architect, or similar fields.
  • Advanced knowledge in SAP architecture and designs.
  • Advanced understanding of integration solutions.
  • Advanced knowledge of logistics business processes, as well as customization, optimization, and implementation.
  • Deep understanding of modern software engineering principles and best practices, as well as SAP best practices.
  • Deep understanding of roles, processes, and technologies around IT architecture management incl. related trends.
  • He has demonstrated success in operating in diverse teams and driving change in a collaborative way on a global scale.
  • Skills to create internal and external partnerships/networks across the organization with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Independent and self-driven personality with strong analytical skills and techniques.
