About the role:

The FP&A Senior Analyst is the main FP&A point of contact for Commercial teams and Finance Business Partners in the regions Cocoa Western Europe and CEE/ MEA.

She/ he coordinates and performs financial controlling and planning duties related to the commercial aspects of the Global Cocoa business, predominantly the sales (third party volumes sold) and pricing/ premiums. Additionally, the FP&A Senior Analyst prepares analytics and reporting on working capital and drives actions with sales/ credit control to minimize overdues.

The FP&A Senior Analyst works in a highly independent manner and delivers timely and accurate ad-hoc and standard end-to-end analyses, management reports and qualitative comments, presenting and defending her/ his conclusions to various stakeholders (FP&A Senior Manager WE & Global Africa, Finance BP Cocoa WE and CEE/ MEA, VP Cocoa WE, VP CEE/ MEA). 

She/ he develops own models and analyses, which requires judgement and creativity, due to the very complex nature of the business and the limited IM/ IT standard solutions available. 

This job gets guidance and support from the FP&A Senior Manager WE & Global Africa and works closely with a broad and diverse group of stakeholders, including among others the divisional Finance BP’s as well as directly with the commercial business of Cocoa (sales mgrs., directors, VPs). 

 

Key responsibilities:

  • First point of contact for all FP&A commercial related aspects for WE and CEE/ MEA businesses
  • Analyzing and reporting of weekly sales, contracted and forecasted volumes
  • Monthly volumes & premiums analysis and reporting with insights to various stakeholders (including Top management/Sales/Finance and others)
  • Develop own models and analyses
  • Present own analyses and conclusions to various stakeholders (FP&A Senior Manager WE & Global Africa, Finance BP Cocoa WE and CEE/ MEA, VP Cocoa WE, VP CEE/ MEA).
  • Budgeting/forecasting 
  • Participate in Business Development projects
  • Analytics and reporting on working capital, drive actions with sales/ credit control to minimize overdues
  • Ensure strong collaboration with Commercial/ Finance BP/ FP&A/ S&OP/ Pricing/ Global Cocoa FP&A Teams
  • Drive the continues improvement initiatives related to commercial scope (process improvement, reporting tools development, gain efficiencies, changing business environment/needs etc.)

 

About you:

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration with a specialization in finance, accounting or a similar field
  • 5+ years of prior work experience in the field of finance/ controlling/ FP&A/ Commercial
  • Knowledge of the key performance indicators that drives the commercial assessment (TP volumes, IC volumes, NPS, Premiums,DSO) would be an asset
  • Strong analytical skills; ability to effectively link the financial reporting issues with the underlying related economic and financial facts
  • Knowledge of finance tools (SAP and related: BW, BOFC etc.)
  • Proficiency in MS Office programs (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • VBA, PowerQuery, PowerPivot or PowerBI would be an asset
  • Fluent in English (written & spoken)
