This is a temporary based role for ~ 18 months

 

About the role:

The person on this position is responsible for general ledger activities including period end processes (month/ quarter/ year), as well as daily ones like balance sheet accounts reconciliations , fixed assets registration, leasing contracts maintenance, journal entry processing, standard and transfer price update, financial reports preparation or other ad hoc requests and queries coming from business partners. The person in this role needs to perform the activities independently and with high quality, within the agreed SLAs, timelines and accounting standards & controls. The role acts as a backup for Team Leader and provides the accounting and process advisory support to other team members. RTR senior accountant participates and supports transformation project teams in the area of accounting and reporting.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Perform period end activities such as:
    • Key controls execution in area of material management, asset accounting and general ledger,
    • Prepare and book manual journal entries, being defined in scope of SSC, such as month end accruals, obsolete stock provision, impairment provision and similar,
    • Process and book into ERP manual journal entries received from local entities,
  • Respond to questions and provide support to local entities, chief accountants and other SSC departments in area of finance general accounting,
  • Taking ownership for complex accounting problems resolution, proactive communication, escalation and follow up,
  • Perform activates related to leasing in dedicated RE-FX module,
  • Perform yearly & ad-hoc standard and transfer price updates,
  • Perform and analyse balance sheet reconciliation,
  • Execute defined controls according to BC Internal Control Framework,
  • Support in internal and external audit,
  • Support and drive continuous improvement and innovative solutions, including transformation projects, and communicate them to the GL Supervisor and Global Process Owner,
  • Support other team members from an accounting and process point of view.

 

About you:

  • Bachelor degree in accounting, finance or similar field,
  • Fluency in English language,
  • At least 4 years of experience in F&A (finance and accounting) shared services centre environments preferred,
  • Technology skills, including SAP, advanced Microsoft Office, RPA & Power BI experience will be an asset.
  • Very good analytical, conceptual and connective cogitation and a hands-on and detail-conscious work style,
  • Experience in Continuous Improvement and transformation initiatives is a plus
  • Strong communication skills paired with a good level of customer focus,
  • Organisational skills, independent in action, open minded,
  • Ability to work reliably and independently also under deadline pressure,
  • Capability to analyse data to catch inconsistencies and mistakes,
