About the role:

 

The Risk FP&A Analyst plays a planning and analysis role to the business, harnessing accounting, financial and risk data to deepen business understanding and to support the decision-making process for the Regional Cocoa and Non-cocoa Sourcing teams. You will require a strong multifunctional partnering skills with Regional Sourcing, Choco FP&A, Risk, Pricing and IM/IT teams. The Risk FP&A Analyst should continuously improve processes and financial data integrity and support a global harmonized approach leveraging the Power BI and other technologies to enhance financial reporting and analytics capabilities.

 

Key Responsibilities Include:

 

  • Supporting FP&A and Risk activities relevant to the results of the Cocoa and Non-cocoa Sourcing team related to P&L and B/S

  • Analyzing and reporting raw material position moves from physical contracting, derivative hedging and processing; special monitoring of the global price list business and contract positions with the biggest customers

  • Perform the inventory valuation, run sense checks and analyze the drivers of valuation movements

  • Responsible for the calculation of actual raw material profits

  • Support the Finance BP FBP on Gross Margin reconciliation process for Regional EOM closing procedure

  • Compiling management reporting for Finance BP & Regional Sourcing lead and support related presentations (i.e. Internal reviews Actual or Planning data)

  • Provision of meaningful, consistent and comparable analytics and reports, actively collaborating with business stakeholders to help corrective actions

  • Support ad-hoc analysis for new sourcing initiatives, provide support information from relevant data sets for taking decisions

  • Collaborate in a matrix organization with Risk management, Regional Chocolate Finance, Sourcing & Pricing teams, IM department

  • Best practice sharing and efficiency improvement of analytics and reporting processes

  • Continuous improvement on the scope of the role 

 

About You:

 

  • Higher education: Master in Finance    

  • 7+ years finance experience ideally developed in physical soft commodities trading / food processing industry

  • Required strong analytical skills supported by very strong capabilities in MS Office & SAP R/3, B/W & B/O, Analytics systems i.e. Power BI

  • Experience with FP&A, finance controlling, risk positions

  • Detail oriented - ability to manage big datasets and ensure accuracy of reports is a key consideration for this position

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
