About the role:

This role is part of the R&D department, known in Barry Callebaut as CI&TS or Customer Innovation and Technical Services. The Senior Product Data Expert:

  • executes the function under the guidance of the Global Product Data Lead. 
  • represents the CI&TS department in multifunctional projects or leads such projects.
  • leads a team of Product Data specialists and administrators.
  • acts as the analytical engine of CI&TS by analyzing data from different angles. [...]
  • ensures that (global) CI&TS procedures are up-to-date and ways of working are communicated properly.
  • facilitates the knowledge exchange between IM/Master Data and the other CI&TS functions. 

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead the team of Product Data specialists and administrators, both from an operational and people development point of view.
  • Ensure coordination and harmonization of CI&TS processes and tools by acting as the synapse between IM & Master Data and Product Experts, Product Data Administrators, Customer R&D & Technical Services.
  • Define and maintain CI&TS processes, procedures, tools, databases, and plant capabilities.
  • Drive continuous improvement and harmonization initiatives related to processes and tools.
  • Analyze systems and define improvement and harmonization actions, e.g. act as System Power User for SAP, Salesforce, Product Catalog.
  • Data crunching: Generate, analyze, and share reports
  • Provide data support for Product Experts in regards to specific requirements and set-up of products/recipes for all production plants. Inform Product Experts about changes in the way of working. 
  • Promote information and knowledge sharing with others and ensure a simple and concise communication of complex matters. 
  • Manage changes related to product & packaging. For instance when changing PACK codes, declarations, cocoa solids, or technical sheets.
  • Interact with Master Data to ensure proper maintenance of SAP and salesforce.
  • Act as Product Data and Recipe Expert to assure data consistency during SAP integration projects.

 

About you:

  • Bachelor/Master Degree in Business Administration or Food Science or similar.
  • 8+ of experience in a similar position, experience in the food industry will be considered as a plus.
  • Fluent in the English language. Asset if fluent in additional languages.
  • Outstanding project management & stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong people management skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of business software (Office, Salesforce, SAP, etc).
  • Strong skill set in data analysis and business intelligence.
  • Outstanding communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
