About the role:
The Portfolio Analytics Manager is executing the governance of KPIs of the R&D organization. They support the Portfolio Lead to define, track, and communicate these KPIs to relevant stakeholders and governance bodies. The Manager contributes in reviewing the product portfolio by building and sharing automated reports that include information on commercial relevance, operational complexity, sold volumes, and more. A critical contribution is the continuous improvement of the criteria, process steps, and stakeholder engagement along the process. Additionally, they collaborate closely with regional commercial presidents and Customers' R&D personnel to identify products for phase-out. The Portfolio Analytics Manager plays a vital role in steering and directing the R&D organization to align projects and initiatives with the department's strategy. They leverage company resources for report generation and adapt content to the audience, promoting streamlined ways of working between regions and business units and a customer-focused approach. The role has no direct reports.
Key responsibilities:

Support the Portfolio Analytics lead to govern the KPIs of the R&D organization, defining, tracking, and communicating these KPIs to relevant stakeholders as well as ensuring all KPIs and measured values are understood and generated from automated reports wherever possible

Build the SKU rationalization approach (definition of critical parameters, validation of algorithm,...)

Review the product portfolio by building and sharing automated reports, incorporating commercial relevance, operational complexity, and other insightful measures

Collaborate closely with regional commercial presidents and customer R&D personnel to identify products for phase-out

Ensure regional execution of the globally defined and aligned ways of working. Ensure validation of process steps.

Steer and direct the R&D organization, ensuring alignment with the department's strategy

Leverage company resources for report generation and building

Adapt report content to the relevant audience, restricting the scope as needed (e.g., by commercial region or product category)

Influence the R&D organization to simplify ways of working and prioritize impact and service to customers

Implement and promote best practices within the business on a global scale

Contribute to projects, e.g. new PLM systems implementation, RACI definitions, process improvements, etc.
About you:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Analytics, Engineering, or related discipline).
- Proficiency in systems SAP, Salesforce, and Excel.
- Preferably previous experience in reporting in the above systems or dedicated tools (PowerBl, BW,...).
- Experience in Supply Chain would be considered a plus.
- Strong knowledge of key performance indicators (KPIs) and their application in an R&D environment.
- Previous experience in portfolio management.
- Proven experience in analytics or performance management roles.
- Familiarity with automated reporting tools and data visualization.
- Understanding of product portfolio management and decision-making processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with automated reporting systems and data visualization techniques.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to adapt the message to different audiences.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with regional commercial presidents and customer R&D personnel.
- A detail-oriented and organized approach to managing KPIs and generating reports.
- Proactive, seeking out and implementing best practices from within and outside the organization.
