About the role:
The People Data Management Lead will play a critical role in managing and optimizing our people data infrastructure, ensuring data accuracy, compliance, and security. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of data governance principles. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing complex data projects in HR, leading cross-functional teams, and driving continuous improvement in data management practices.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive data governance framework that aligns with company objectives and industry best practices.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive HR Data Dictionary to ensure consistent understanding and usage of data terminology and definitions across the organization.
- Lead data governance initiatives to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across all HR systems.
- Collaborate with Local HR, HR Operations, HR IT, and other stakeholders to identify data quality issues and implement effective solutions.
- Work with HRIS team, GPO, and other stakeholders to identify and implement best practices to govern the flow of data (integrations, interfaces, bulk feeds).
- Manage data audits and compliance reviews to ensure adherence to data governance policies and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure data retention laws and policies are adhered to, and leverage supporting technology.
- Oversee the design and execution of data management processes, including data collection, storage, and analysis.
- Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in data governance and recommend improvements to existing processes.
- Act as the primary point of contact for data governance matters and provide expertise and guidance to stakeholders.
About you:
- Master's degree in Data Management, Information Systems, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in data governance, data management, or a related role within an HR context.
- Fluent in English – verbal and written.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing data governance frameworks and policies.
- Understanding of data privacy laws (e.g., GDPR), regulations, and best practices.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex data issues into actionable solutions.
- Experience with SuccessFactors data model and security concepts, MS Azure, and data visualization tools such as MS Power BI
- Knowledge of statistical languages like R and Python is a plus.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to data accuracy and quality.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
