About the role:
Under the management of the Inventory Planning Manager, the Inventory Planner will optimize overall inventories and flows. He/She will define and maintain stock policies, and will be setting DRP and deployment rules and monitoring results and exceptions. He/She will administer stock parameters, and monitor that solid planning adheres to inventory signals. Additionally, the Inventory Planner will participate in key initiatives and projects to support continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities:
- Define and propose stock policies
- Calculate & optimize inventory parameters in line with policies and in order to fulfill supply & financial targets
- Drive continuous improvement. Coordinate and execute improvement initiatives based on latest demand signal related to:
- Inventory holding and replenishment strategies
- Stock Policies (MTS/MTO etc.)
- Network rules (e.g. route to market)
- Set and define DRP and deployment rules
- Follow up on inventory planning metrics and reporting (e.g. inventory levels, days of inventory, etc.)
- Monitor and challenge deployment execution is in line with fair share principle and stock targets
- Follow up on agreed timings the Inventory Health (stock lows, highs, obsolete.) and take the necessary steps to correct within the planning environment
- Own and drive periodic inventory reporting (weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly) on both Finished Products (FPs) and Raw Materials (RMs)
- Contribute to inventory budget construction and stock build seasonality
- Make the bridge between tactical stock plan and operational targets; Monitor and report on adherence to plan
- Adjust inventory parameters in line with marketing and commercial strategy on phase-in / phase-out of products.
About you:
- Master degree, preferably within Business or Engineering
- English fluent
- More than 3 years relevant work experience in Supply Chain Management and ideally in Inventory Management
- Excellent project management skills
- Good understanding of the supply and demand planning process
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Expert knowledge on network and inventory planning processes (e.g. network strategy, inventory parameters, etc.)
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Previous experience with SAP and Business Objects
