About the role:
Indirect Tax Center of Expertise (COE) was moved into the GBS Tax Department during the year 2023. The role of the Tax Department in GBS evaluated and the responsibilities were extended. After the change COE GBS Tax Department is in charge of end to end indirect tax processes in whole region including advisory and audits, providing business support in case of creating new entities, business flows and legal changes implementations.
Indirect Tax Accountant as a member of COE Tax Department performs indirect tax activities within EMEA, UK & Swiss region and is reporting into the Indirect Tax Team Leader. The person on this position has the responsibilities focused on operational tasks- VAT reporting, local tax reporting and also on the reconciliations and all the indirect tax related reports and audits.
Key responsibilities:
- VAT declaration for multiple countries.
- Intrastat reporting.
- VAT accounts reconciliation.
- Audit activities.
- Monitoring VAT payments and refunds.
- Preparations of all required indirect tax reports including local taxes.
- Indirect tax support for P2P and O2C department.
- Resolving all the discrepancies between VAT returns and GL accounts.
- Contacts with Tax Authorities.
About you:
- At least a Bachelor degree in Finance, Accounting or Taxes.
- Fluent English with strong speaking and writing skills.
- Other language will be an asset (especially German, Italian is needed).
- more than 2 years of experience in tax accounting or international taxation consulting.
- Strong MS Office package knowledge, especially Excel (formulas and data analysis).
- Good knowledge of corporate and international taxation concepts and familiarity with European tax laws and regulations.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Critical thinking and problem solving Initiative and persistence to pursue problems to resolution.
- Good communication skills.
