Head of Chocolate Academy

About the role:
Under the direction of the Chocolate Academy Lead for CEE, the Head Chef of Chocolate Academy will direct and drive the successful operations of the Chocolate Academy team located in the country.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead the Chef services in all activities by focusing on delivering a unique customer experience to all typologies of customers for the region.
- Guide a group of chefs, coordinators, and cleaners to ensure that the program meets the highest standards.
- Support the local sales and marketing team during co-creation, innovation, or inspiration sessions with their customers. He/she will support product development, brand promotion, courses, webinar activities, and events to develop the business and create commercial impact in all market segments for all typologies of customers.
- Contribute to growing customer relationships to grow the network of our end-users. He/she acts as an influencer within our chef and Ambassador community.
- Support the digital transformation by providing the deliverables of dedicated digital content.
- Being the “face” of Barry Callebaut's culinary expertise in Chocolate & Cocoa to food manufacturing, top B2B/B2C Brands, and the artisanal world across the country and Gourmet brands.
- Play a critical role in supporting our customer journey to be best-in-class, as well as helping to ensure that our winning portfolio, innovation & services always line up with the high standards or solutions our customers are looking for.
- Lead the Chocolate Academy in the country. He/she is the first point of contact and makes the organization/planning for the team. He/she needs to set priorities for the team and manage the team's efficiency.
- Ensure that the Chocolate Academy and its tools and machinery are maintained in the best possible way. Besides this, it is important to find innovative equipment and negotiate sponsorship to make sure the Chocolate Academy stays a top-level Academy with the best products and machinery.
- Play a key role in other (international) networking events such as the Chocolate Ambassador Club, World Chocolate Masters, and other networking events related to the chocolate and pastry industry.
- Have budget/cost center(s) responsibility (P&L) for the Academy of the Country.
About you:
- 10+ years of experience.
- Knowledge of the Chocolate and Cocoa Food Manufacturer Industry preferred and B2B market relatives to the food industry.
- Having done advanced training in Confectionery/Bakery/Ice Cream/Dairy/Pastry/Cereals.
- Specific diploma in Confectionery and Pastry transformation.
- Fluent in English + an additional language would be an asset.
- Salesforce knowledge would be an asset.
- Being a mentor for the team, helps them to grow in their ambitions, and improve their abilities and skills.
- Being able to behave professionally with guest Chefs, Ambassadors, and Academy customers and speak intelligently and passionately about chocolate, pastry, Barry Callebaut, and its brands.
- Being influential in the chef community to attract segment experts, new hires, influencers, and guest chefs on dedicated projects.
- Being an internal ambassador to support our Passion for food internally.
- Strong communication and organization skills.
- Ability to work well in a high-expectations environment.
- Ability to work effectively with multiple departments and portray a professional and positive image.
