About the job:

The SSC Head F&A is responsible for the daily operations of the F&A team in the areas of Source to Pay, Order to Cash, Record to Report, Consolidation & Reporting and Taxes. She/he will be actively driving F&A scope extensions. She/ he is regularly in contact with the key SSC service receivers to actively manage the business expectations and constantly drives process improvements to ensure the agreed service quality levels as well as to strive for higher productivity. People development is a key element to achieve this. The incumbent will be a Member of the SSC Leadership Team and deputy of the SSC Head.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Oversees the F&A processes within the SSC and provides objectives to the SSC F&A staff.
  • Manage, coordinate and develop/ coach the F&A staff and actively plan for succession to develop and replace individuals effectively.
  • Proactively manage and monitor KPIs and SLAs to drive accuracy and timeliness of all deliverables. Establish regular communication to share successes and solicit challenges or concerns with all SSC Key Stakeholders to ensure issues are identified, tracked and resolved in a timely manner.
  • With a high priority, identify, research, develop and implement improvements to existing processes, systems and procedures in F&A processes (incl. Continuous Improvement culture program).
  • Maintain strong controls ensuring all group policies and statutory requirements are complied with by the SSC team.  Elevate the relevancy and timeliness of the control environment.
  • Supervise month-end, quarterly and YE closings and provide audit support.
  • Owner of the F&A ICS and operational control framework.
  • Act as deputy SSC in case of absence of Head SSC.
  • Build a culture of continuous improvement that ensures process flows and standard operating procedures are both kept current and reviewed by all staff and stakeholders, and constantly enhanced and improved.

 

About you:

  • Master Degree in Finance or Business Administration.
  • Excellent Accounting knowledge (external auditor experience - CPA - would be an asset).
  • Around 10 years of experience with growing responsibilities in SSC/GBS environments and most F&A (S2P, R2R, O2C, TAX etc.) areas.
  • 3-5 years of experience in leading F&A department (approx. 40-60 employees).
  • Profound Finance knowledge in all areas (incl. tax).
  • Successful transformation project experiences. 
  • Experienced in continuous improvement approach (Black Belt would be an asset).
  • Good understanding on automation opportunities.
  • Fluency in Polish and English, an additional foreign language would be a plus.
  • Working knowledge in ERP (SAP) and other finance and support systems.
  • Proven analytical skills – able to decide when more work needs to be done or if high level analysis is sufficient.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Objective oriented (incl. cascading down).
  • Good time management and being able to set the necessary priorities (deliver on time in the required).
  • Showing the necessary level of flexibility to adapt to the business requirements.
  • Diligent - Strong work ethic.
  • Role requires travel up to 20% of time (travels within Europe, Americas and Asia on a regular basis – if possible)
