About the role:

Responsible for maintaining the best possible occupational safety status at BCMP in accordance with the requirements of the regulation of the Occupational Health and Safety Service, for analyzing, improving, and proposing changes aimed at improving ergonomics and occupational safety. Including the assessment of projects resulting from the Projects. Maintains appropriate documentation in the field of Occupational Health and Safety, and represents the company in contact with external institutions within the scope of his responsibility. Responsible for implementing, promoting, and supervising the Occupational Health and Safety Culture.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Maintains appropriate Occupational Health and Safety documentation following legal regulations.
  • Participates in the Occupational Health and Safety Committee and if it does not exist, participates in meetings with the Social Side.
  • Conducts Occupational Health and Safety training resulting from legal regulations and internal arrangements.
  • Advises on improvements aimed at improving ergonomics and occupational health and safety, and verifies proposals in terms of their compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Prepares appropriate post-accident documentation.
  • Performs and coordinates the analysis of occupational risk at workstations at least once a year.
  • Analyses of near-accident events apply for appropriate technical, organizational, and other changes.
  • Prepares monthly reports of indicators related to ergonomics and occupational health and safety.
  • Manages employee occupational health and safety equipment, including work clothing. Places orders for occupational health and safety equipment and work clothing for new employees.
  • Organizes periodic training, for individual authorizations, for the Company's Rescue and Firefighting Group and the Group for providing first aid, and organizes trial evacuation exercises resulting from legal regulations. Prepares appropriate documentation after exercises, and submits appropriate recommendations resulting from the exercises carried out.
  • Represents the company in contact with external companies in the field of occupational health and safety.
  • Participates in technical acceptance of new machines/lines/installations. Approves operation of devices after major repairs.
  • Ensures that periodic tests of the work environment are performed.
  • Conducts post-accident proceedings resulting from separate regulations.
  • Supervision of the security company.
  • Ensure all Life Safe Principles (LSP), procedures, and guidelines are implemented, maintained, and enforced.
  • Ensure all staff are aware and appropriately trained for the applicable risks of their work environment. And continuously reduce these risks.
  • Identify and take the lead in solving (potential) unsafe situations.
  • Assesses new machines and installations in terms of occupational health and safety and work ergonomics. Makes recommendations for changes that should be implemented.
  • Conducts internal occupational health and safety and work ergonomics audits.
  • Periodically review the status of occupational health and safety signs located in and around the building.
  • Maintains contact with institutions responsible for Environmental Protection, prepares reports on Environmental Protection following general requirements, and ensures correct reporting of environmental issues.
  • Being a driving force for continuous improvement, accept no loss.

 

About you:

  • Higher education or postgraduate studies in Occupational Health and Safety.
  • Practical knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety regulations, EU directives, labor law and ISO 45001.
  • 2+ years of experience in a similar position in a production plant.
  • Ability to conduct training and internal audits.
  • Good knowledge of English (both written and spoken).
  • Very good computer skills (Excel).
  • Independence in action, responsibility.
  • Ability to solve problems.
