Global Total Rewards Specialist

About the role:
This is a broad Reward role focusing on excellence in delivery on a global level that will be responsible for assisting with the development, management, and implementation of job evaluations, market intelligence & benchmarks analysis, annual compensation cycle, and other compensation & benefits programs. The role closely works with various stakeholders, such as HRIS, HR Business Partners, HR Operations, Finance, Survey Providers, etc. The role supports the Global Total Rewards Team whose main focus is to:
- Deliver annual compensation cycle, compensation, and benefits benchmarking, as well as job leveling for the 14,000 Barry Callebaut employees working in the app. 50 locations worldwide.
- Handle day-to-day support to HR BPs on Total Rewards-related questions and changes for non-regional operating organizations such as Corporate Functions (About 1’100 employees) and Global Cocoa (about 4’600 employees).
Key responsibilities:
- Act as the global referent regarding job architecture administration, job descriptions, job analysis, and evaluation.
- Maintain the global job-leveling database.
- Maintain the global job description repository.
- Evaluate jobs on request, ensuring consistency and coherence of the outcome with the Barry Callebaut job architecture.
- Support the annual salary review process and the administration of the company’s short-term incentive programs.
- Participate in the improvement of data quality of tools and systems, to enhance reward-related reporting and controlling capabilities.
- Support the preparation of budgets, cost center analysis, and other financial or competitiveness reviews.
- Provide project support, data analysis, and presentation preparation to the Global Reward Team on request.
- Act as the global reference in sharing best practices with Total Reward practices.
- Coordinate regular contract updates and purchasing agreements with compensation & benefits survey providers (Mercer, Willis Towers Watson, etc.).
- Gather and consolidate Barry Callebaut’s employees’ data to participate annually and centrally in compensation & benefits surveys.
- Analyze market data, review and update annual internal pay ranges for the app. 50 locations as appropriate.
- Provide specific job pricing or wider benchmark analysis in request.
- Guide HR BPs to ensure alignment of reward-related system practices (workflows, approvals, policies, etc.) across all Barry Callebaut locations.
- Assist in business process design or modification; create custom reports within all active reward-related system modules (Employee Central, Compensation, etc.).
- Support reward-related HRIS configuration changes, evaluate interdependencies and potential risks, and participate in the implementation of approved changes.
About you:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years of experience.
- 5+ years of experience in an international C&B role, preferably in a mid-size manufacturing/FMCG company.
- Previous experience in major C&B fields such as compensation planning, variable compensation, market intelligence, etc.
- Previous experience in using the Mercer IPE methodology or any other mainstream job-leveling methodology.
- Familiarity with the execution of program management in large global companies.
- Practical knowledge of Microsoft suite including Excel and PowerPoint.
- Previous experience with Success Factors.
- Strong analytical and conceptual thinking.
- Autonomous problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work systematically and accurately with attention to detail.
- Ability to network and establish relationships at all levels of the organization.
