About the role:
As a Global Performance Lead, you will support manufacturing teams across Barry Callebaut’s global network in delivering cost savings and performance improvements. Your role is to ensure that improvement initiatives are clearly identified, properly governed, and translated into measurable financial results.
Working closely with regional operations and finance teams, you will track progress against targets, highlight risks, and support teams in closing performance gaps. You will ensure that validated savings are accurately reflected in plant cost structures, creating transparency and accountability across the organization.
This role offers a unique opportunity to work at the heart of global manufacturing performance, partnering with senior leaders to drive sustainable, data-driven improvements across multiple regions.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage and govern a global savings pipeline.
  • Support regions and sites in identifying and prioritizing high-impact improvement initiatives.
  • Implement and maintain standardized global governance frameworks for savings validation and tracking.
  • Monitor monthly performance against targets and proactively escalate delivery gaps.
  • Partner with Finance to ensure savings are reflected in plant cost structures (labor, energy, maintenance, waste).
  • Validate material yield and waste improvements and ensure financial impact is captured.
  • Provide clear, regular performance reporting by site and region to senior stakeholders.
  • Highlight underperformance and support the development of corrective and recovery plans.
  • Act as a key interface between global manufacturing, regional teams, and finance.
  • Facilitate best practice sharing and knowledge exchange across the global manufacturing network.

 

About you:

  • University degree in Engineering and/or MBA.
  • Minimum 10 years of operational experience in manufacturing (Production, Supply Chain, Maintenance), including CI roles.
  • Proven experience in plant or senior operational leadership roles.
  • Strong results orientation with a clear focus on delivering measurable savings.
  • Solid analytical and financial acumen, with the ability to link performance to cost structures.
  • Experience in governance, performance tracking, and project pipeline management.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate across global, multicultural environments.
  • Clear, confident communicator, comfortable presenting to senior stakeholders.
  • Structured, detail-oriented, and resilient under pressure.
  • Fluent in English, additional languages are an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally, up to 20% of working time.
