About the role:
The Global Business Services (GBS) Capability Lead will oversee the capability development and knowledge management across all Barry Callebaut GBS locations. This role blends strategic and operational responsibilities to enable a targeted, structured, business-oriented approach to capability building and knowledge management while fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous learning. The GBS Capability Lead will serve as the key point of contact for all GBS learning initiatives and will lead related communication efforts. This involves working closely with business units, subject matter experts, the Global Learning and Development team, and external partners.
Key responsibilities:
- Create a robust concept and strategy for knowledge management to capture, store, and disseminate critical business knowledge across all GBS locations.
- Facilitate the exchange of best practices and ensure standardized knowledge sharing across the global GBS network.
- Identify, develop, and implement global strategies to build critical capabilities across GBS.
- Coordinate with content creators and technical teams to ensure that all learning materials are up-to-date, accessible, and aligned with current training needs.
- Leverage HR systems and processes to effectively deliver global learning initiatives within GBS.
- Monitor, and review GBS’s learning performance as well as training effectiveness along various metrics (KPIs).
- Administer GBS’s (e-)learning curriculum as the power user (e.g., granting access, stewarding data, procuring content).
- Conduct a thorough assessment of existing skill sets and capabilities within BC’s GBS teams, analyzing gaps and identifying areas for improvement.
- Design and deliver targeted learning programs for GBS.
- Assessment of current learning offerings assesses current learning assets, and partners on their relevance in the newly designed program.
- Establish GBS’s global learning network and facilitate communication flows.
- Remain up to date on learning best practices and apply them within GBS.
- Follow and execute the Global Barry Callebaut Learning Governance. Strong collaboration and alignment with Global Learning & Development. Leveraging global solutions and technology.
- Plan and host the yearly GBS Learning Governance Board to discuss and review key learning topics for GBS.
About you:
- Bachelor’s / Master’s.
- 3-5 years experience in implementing and managing learning management systems (preferably SAP SuccessFactors).
- Proficient in Business English (written and verbal).
- Proven experience in implementing learning and knowledge-sharing programs across geographically dispersed teams.
- Thorough knowledge of e-learning platforms as well as content procurement, integration, and maintenance.
- Proven track record in successfully managing strategic learning initiatives, especially within GBS or similar environments.
- Contemporary knowledge of effective learning and development methods and programs including an understanding of best practices and trends.
- Experience in a multinational company (experience within the B2B Food Industry an advantage).
- Capable of engaging participants with compelling content and interactive teaching methods, adapted to different cultural, and organizational settings.
- Capacity to strategize (i.e., conceptualize) and operationalize (i.e., execute); a “hands-on thinker”.
- Eager to identify, track, and tackle learning needs across teams and regions.
- Persuasion and influencing skills.
- Ability to work within multiple deadlines/priorities and stakeholders.
- Travel requirements: 30%.
