About the role:
The Global Supplier Quality Analyst is the first in line to ensure regulatory, quality and food safety compliance of BC suppliers, raw materials, and packaging materials worldwide. An analyst is responsible for one or more categories of materials or for support in projects (e.g. acquisitions and integrations) for which this role independently carries out the assessment of compliance of suppliers and materials against regulatory, quality and food safety requirements. The Analyst evaluates, negotiates and qualifies materials and suppliers according to standard processes and using their own knowledge and expertise.This role collects and interprets technical data on raw materials, semi-finished products and packaging materials and assigns a status (approval, rejection, approval subject to conditions).
Key responsibilities:
- Management on a daily basis of his/her portfolio of requests in the Supplier Relationship Management Tool and in the packaging Tool.
- Complete the required forms for materials and suppliers and continually assess the information here for completeness and correctness, and further prepare the creation forms for processing in the SAP system
- Assigns risk profiles to the right raw material or carries out risk analyses on the basis of the instructions and on the basis of their own knowledge and expertise.
- Specification management (validation and approval) and first line of discussion with suppliers
- Assessing applications for new raw materials, semi-finished products, packaging materials and / or suppliers; or changes to it.
- Assess if analysis of supplier samples is required and launch such analysis if necessary
- Define the right legal declaration for the material for all languages and destinations maintained in BC SAP (e.g. ingredient list)
- The administration questionnaires.
- Administration and maintenance of certificates on raw materials, such as Kosher, Halal, or GFSI, from the moment the administrators upscale this in connection with substantive discussions or technical complexity.
- Validation of the declarations of the raw materials.
- Management of complex customer care cases.
- Management of the food alerts escalations.
- Assignment of inspection plans to materials and suppliers.
- Setting up and maintaining the work instructions that describe their own activities, even if this exceeds their own categories
- Participates in (improvement) projects
- Supports and trains other colleagues worldwide for their activities.
- Answering questions from internal and external stakeholders
- Helping Customer Service to solve the complex cases from customers.
About you:
- Bachelor in Food Science, Nutrition, Biotechnology or an equivalent level obtained through a combination of education and experience
- Language: fluent in English. Proficiency in other languages is a strong asset (French, Spanish, Russian - depending also on the location)
- Digital capabilities: excel, word, working experience with SAP and Salesforce an asset
- Knowledge of food or feed production processes,
- 3+ years in the food, pharma or feed industry,
- Experience working in a (GFSI) certified environment,
- Knowledge of food safety, food legislation a plus,
- Self organised, capable of working independently,
- Analytical mindset, ability to manage multiple data and information in an efficient way,

- Good in stakeholder management,
