About the role:
The GBS HR Services Manager leads the Łódź-based HR Services team, delivering high-quality, consistent and timely HR support to employees, managers and HR stakeholders across five European countries. The role is responsible for ensuring operational excellence, driving service performance and fostering a customer-centric culture focused on continuous improvement.
As a key leader within the HR Services transformation journey, the GBS HR Services Manager plays a critical role in strengthening stakeholder confidence, expanding the scope of services delivered through GBS, and embedding standardized, efficient ways of working. The role also promotes close collaboration with other HR Services locations to ensure a seamless and globally aligned service experience.
Reporting to the Head of GBS HR Services, the Manager acts as a trusted partner and primary escalation point for the European region, driving service excellence, operational stability and sustainable growth of the HR Services organization.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead, coach and develop a team of HR Advisors and Senior HR Advisors to achieve service excellence and KPI/SLA targets.
- Oversee daily HR Services operations, ensuring effective workload management, resource planning and service quality.
- Ensure accurate, timely and compliant case handling in line with global HR policies and procedures.
- Act as the primary point of contact for Local HR stakeholders, building trust through strong partnership and service delivery.
- Establish governance routines, manage escalations and drive effective issue resolution.
- Lead transitions of HR processes into the GBS HR Services organization, ensuring smooth knowledge transfer and change adoption.
- Drive process standardization and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and employee experience.
- Monitor service performance, analyze trends and implement improvement plans based on KPIs and customer feedback.
- Collaborate with global HR Services teams to promote alignment, best practice sharing and operational consistency.
- Serve as a trusted advisor and escalation point for the Head of GBS HR Services, providing operational leadership and support.
About you:
- Strong understanding of HR operations and Shared Service Center management.
- Experience in using Service Center technologies (e.g. ticket management, knowledge management, document management, etc.).
- Min. 5 years in HR Shared Services preferred.
- Strong collaborative partnership skills to ensure the effective execution of shared services solutions across the stakeholders.
- Ability to work effectively in an environment subject to changing priorities and short deadlines.
- Self-starter with a proactive and inquisitive nature who can anticipate and pre-empt problems.
- Strong planning, organization, delegation, problem solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Skilled in effective leadership, people management, and development.
- HR Information System experience preferred, ServiceNow and SuccessFactors a plus.
- Can be trusted to maintain confidential information.
- Strong process-orientation and process improvement mindset.
- Excellent Communication and Customer Service orientation.
- Fluent in English. Additional languages a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in business, HR, or related discipline required.
