Develop, maintain and implement quality standards related to food safety, customer, religious and sustainability standards in the plant.

Drive and support Implementation of new or improved food safety, religious and sustainability standards

  • Driving the implementation of HACCP, Barry Callebaut, GSFI, religious, sustainability and customer standards and procedures
  • Coordinate internal audit related to HACCP, food safety, sustainability, religious, customer and quality management system
  • Handle customer and third party audits
  • Follow up corrective actions and verify effectiveness of implemented measures.
  • Supporting other functions to achieve compliance with the above mentioned standards
  • Ensure training of local  staff to achieve the food safety and quality systems objectives
  • Supporting and Replacing the Quality Manager in crisis management
  • Follow up on local food regulations, escalate if required and integrate in local food safety standards to ensure compliance
  • Provide expert advice to other functions





Drive implementation and maintenance of quality systems

  • Initiate and lead quality related improvement and problem solving teams using root cause problem solving tools such as 5 why and Ishikawa analysis
  • Carry out trend analysis and statistical data review to develop improvement plans
  • Contribute to cost and efficiency improvement activities, taking into account quality requirements





Project  Management

  • Understand, review and provide feedback on the impact of projects on management systems (eg HACCP, FSSC 22000, PEM, Sustainability standards).
  • Adapt and validate quality plans and systems to address changed or new ingredients, products, processes, production environment
  • Participate at meetings effectively, liaise with stakeholders and communicate and interact actively with all functions

  • Education


Master in Food Science or Engineering or equivalent

Fluent in local language.  Mastering of English as requirement

  • Experience (type) and Knowledge

5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance and Food Safety in an international food, pharmaceutical or feed company 

Experience in auditing

Project Management

Knowledge of Food Safety management,  HACCP management,  GMPs (Hygiene practices, Sanitation, Environmental Monitoring, Pest Control etc), GFSI certification schemes (BRC, FSSC 22000).
