About the role:

As a Finance Business Partner for Global Logistics, you will play a critical role in driving our company's financial performance and strategic decisions. You will work closely with the supply chain and logistics teams to provide financial insights, support strategic planning, and ensure financial discipline and efficiency in operations. Your expertise will be crucial in optimizing our global supply chain network, managing risks, and identifying opportunities for cost savings and improvement. The Finance BP will be the key financial partner to the Global Head of Logistics in driving our Next Level program. In this respect, this function partners with various stakeholders in the organization and is focused on setting the strategy for CSD finance Global Supply Chain and logistics, to work on efficiencies and continuous improvement and to share and implement best practices.

As a business partner to the Global Logistics, the Finance BP CSD has to

  • drive change,
  • continuously recommend scenarios to increase efficiency or avoid inefficiencies,
  • be solutions oriented and
  • materially contribute to the achievement of the business goals and targets of the function,
  • ensure the GSC deliver on the Next Level program (efficiency, inventory, control tower, warehouses optimization).

In this respect, it is absolutely needed to have a deep conceptual knowledge of operational flows to

  • detect in an early stage potential volume, process, and performance leakage and
  • improve productivity and drive efficiencies.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop financial strategies for Global Logistics, including budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis. This involves understanding market trends, demand forecasting, and aligning supply chain and manufacturing strategies with overall business objectives.
  • Manage the capital required to fund the logistics operations, including inventory.
  • Perform financial modeling based on overall footprint.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with global logistics, such as currency exchange rate fluctuations, political instability, compliance with international trade regulations, and disruptions due to global events or logistics issues.
  • Monitor and controlling costs associated with global logistics. This includes analyzing transport costs, tariffs, and duties, and seeking ways to optimize the supply chain for cost efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the global logistics teams to develop financial models and analyses that support strategic decisions.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance profitability across the logistics operations.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes for global logistics activities.
  • Monitoring and evaluating performance against budget and prior year (KPIs, BPIs), identifying risks and opportunities and reviewing results and developing mitigating actions with the Finance BP’s on-site and global logistics management teams.
  • Support the negotiation of contracts and agreements with suppliers, logistics providers, and other partners from a financial perspective.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to implement supply chain optimization projects and initiatives (Control Tower, 3/4PL, Warehousing).
  • Ensure that the Next Level Program on Logistics delivers the planned benefits (efficiency and working capital).
  • Drive continuous improvement in financial processes and systems to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and responsiveness.
  • Support the development of data analytics and reporting including forward looking insights by leveraging the CSD Clusters and GBS FP&A organization.
  • Preparing financial reports that detail the logistics’s performance. Identify trends, efficiencies, and areas needing improvement, providing critical insights for decision-making.
  • Lead the execution of Next Level program in the cluster / regions in partnership with the cluster management team.
  • Coach and develop team members.
  • Have very deep and broad-based knowledge of the total operational value chain, logistics and cost to serve.

 

About you:

  • Masters in Finance, Accounting, Economics or similar.
  • Experience in a multinational company, preferably in B2B / food industries.
  • Solid knowledge of logistics, manufacturing, operational excellence, supply chain business partnering, controlling and reporting.
  • English business proficiency (written and spoken).
  • People management experience.
