About the role: 

At Barry Callebaut Digital, we are driving the digital transformation of the world's leading chocolate manufacturer. We are looking for a Business Analyst to join our Polomas Team, supporting the Position Logistic Management System (Polomas) used by sourcing, trading, and risk management teams across our global organization. 

In this role, you will act as a bridge between business and technology, helping stakeholders translate operational needs into practical digital solutions. You will collaborate with traders, procurement teams, external partners, and digital experts worldwide to continuously maintain, enhance, and optimize a business-critical platform.

 

Key responsibilities: 

  • Support and maintain the Position Logistic Management System (Polomas).
  • Analyze and translate business needs into system improvements and enhancements.
  • Manage and follow up on incidents, service requests, changes, and day-to-day stakeholder interactions across multiple communication channels.
  • Monitor system performance and support issue resolution.
  • Collaborate closely with traders, procurement teams, digital teams, and external partners.
  • Act as a key point of contact between business users and technical teams.
  • Analyze data and investigate issues using SQL and other available tools.
  • Support system changes and releases, including occasional activities outside standard business hours where required.

 

About you: 

  • Experience in business analysis, application support, data analysis, or a similar role.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate business needs into practical solutions.
  • Good knowledge of SQL/T-SQL and confidence working with data.
  • Understanding of business systems supporting trading, logistics, sourcing, or other operational processes.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with both business and technical stakeholders.
  • A customer-focused mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to work independently, take ownership, and thrive in a dynamic environment.
  • Professional fluency in English.
  • Open to occasional business travel across Europe (up to 20%).
  • It will be an advantage if you have experience with commodity trading, logistics or risk management processes, SAP or other ERP systems, and additional technologies such as Python, VBA, C#, SSIS/ETL tools, or DevOps.
